Privacy Policy

Babyn (the “App”) helps parents track their baby’s feeding, sleep, diapers, growth, health and appointments. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have.

1. Data Controller

The App is operated by Halil Yılmaz (individual), Germany.

2. What Data We Process

• Account data: your name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by Firebase Authentication and are never visible to us.
• Family sharing data: a family code and the user identifiers of people who share it (so a partner or nanny can see the same records).
• Baby data: name, date of birth, sex, weight and height measurements, feeding, sleep and diaper records, temperature readings, medication records, vaccinations and appointments.
• Technical data: notification permission status (if granted) and in-app preferences such as theme, which are stored only on your device.

We do not use advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

• Providing the service (creating, showing and syncing your records across your family) — legal basis: performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• Health-related baby records (growth, temperature, medication, vaccinations) — these are special category data. Legal basis: your explicit consent, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR. You give this consent by choosing to enter such records, and you may withdraw it at any time by deleting the records or your account.
• Growth percentile calculations using WHO reference data — performed on your device; no additional data is sent anywhere for this.
• Account security (authentication, password reset) — legal basis: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which acts as our data processor.

Google LLC is based in the United States. Where Google processes data outside the EEA in the course of providing the service, such transfers are governed by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and Google’s Data Processing Terms.

5. Service Providers and Data Sharing

Your baby’s records are visible only to users who share your family code (for example your partner or nanny). Our database security rules are configured so that unauthenticated users, and users who are not members of your family, cannot access your data.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We use only the following service providers, who act as our data processors under contract and process data solely on our instructions:

• Google Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) — authentication and database (Cloud Firestore); data is stored in the EU (eur3 multi-region).
• Resend (Resend, Inc.) — delivery of account emails such as email verification and password reset. For this purpose it processes your email address; these emails are sent from EU infrastructure (Ireland).
• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — hosting of our website, static files and our email-sending service.

If you purchase a premium subscription, payment is processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details.

6. Retention

We keep your data until you delete it or delete your account. When you delete your account, your data is removed. You can also clear all records from within the App at any time without deleting your account.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data and obtain a copy;
• have inaccurate data rectified;
• have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
• restrict or object to processing;
• data portability;
• withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal);
• lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Automated Decision-Making

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Growth percentiles are a purely informational calculation against WHO reference curves and are not medical advice.

9. Children’s Data

The App is intended for use by parents and caregivers (adults, 18+). It is not designed for or directed at children. Data about a baby is entered by the account holder acting as the parent or legal guardian, on their own initiative and responsibility.

10. Notifications

The App may ask for permission to send notifications (for example feeding or sleep reminders). This is entirely optional and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated within the App. The current version is always published on this page.

12. Language

This policy is published in English and Turkish. The English version is the authoritative text; in case of any discrepancy between the two versions, the English version prevails.

Gizlilik Politikası ve KVKK Aydınlatma Metni

Babyn (“Uygulama”), ebeveynlerin bebeklerine ait beslenme, uyku, bez, büyüme, sağlık ve randevu takibi yapmasını sağlar.

1. Veri Sorumlusu

Uygulama, şahıs olarak Halil Yılmaz (Almanya) tarafından işletilmektedir. Sorularınız için: gizlilik@babyn.app

2. İşlenen Veriler

• Hesap verisi: ad, e-posta adresi, şifre (Firebase Authentication üzerinde özetlenmiş/şifrelenmiş biçimde saklanır, tarafımızca düz metin olarak görülemez).
• Aile/paylaşım verisi: aile kodu ve bu kodu paylaşan kullanıcıların kimlikleri (eş/bakıcı ile ortak kullanım için).
• Bebek verisi: ad, doğum tarihi, cinsiyet, kilo/boy ölçümleri, beslenme/uyku/bez kayıtları, ateş ölçümleri, ilaç kayıtları, aşı ve randevular.
• Teknik veri: bildirim izni durumu (varsa) ve tema gibi uygulama içi tercihler (yalnızca cihazınızda saklanır).

Reklam göstermiyoruz, sizi başka uygulama/sitelerde takip etmiyoruz ve verilerinizi satmıyoruz.

3. İşleme Amaçları

• Uygulamanın temel işlevini sağlamak (kayıtların oluşturulması, görüntülenmesi ve aile üyeleri arasında senkronize edilmesi).
• Büyüme persentili hesaplamak (WHO referans verileriyle, cihaz üzerinde hesaplanır).
• Hesap güvenliğini sağlamak (kimlik doğrulama, şifre sıfırlama).

Sağlıkla ilgili bebek kayıtları (büyüme, ateş, ilaç, aşı) özel nitelikli kişisel veri sayılır ve yalnızca sizin bu kayıtları girme tercihinizle, açık rızanıza dayanarak işlenir. Rızanızı, kayıtları veya hesabınızı silerek her zaman geri çekebilirsiniz.

4. Verilerin Saklandığı Yer

Veriler Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore ve Authentication) altyapısında saklanır. Veritabanımız Avrupa Birliği’nde (Google eur3 çoklu bölge) konumlandırılmıştır. Uygulamanın web sitesi ve statik dosyaları Almanya’da (Hetzner, Falkenstein) barındırılır.

5. Hizmet Sağlayıcıları ve Veri Paylaşımı

Bebek verileriniz yalnızca aynı aile kodunu paylaşan kullanıcılar tarafından görülebilir. Güvenlik kuralları, kimlik doğrulaması yapılmamış veya aile üyesi olmayan kullanıcıların veriye erişemeyeceği şekilde yapılandırılmıştır.

Verilerinizi satmıyor ve reklam amacıyla paylaşmıyoruz. Yalnızca aşağıdaki hizmet sağlayıcılarını; sözleşmeye bağlı ve verileri yalnızca bizim talimatlarımızla işleyen veri işleyiciler olarak kullanıyoruz:

• Google Firebase (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) — kimlik doğrulama ve veritabanı (Cloud Firestore); veriler AB’de (eur3 çoklu bölge) saklanır.
• Resend (Resend, Inc.) — e-posta doğrulama ve şifre sıfırlama gibi hesap e-postalarının gönderimi. Bu amaçla e-posta adresinizi işler; e-postalar AB altyapısından (İrlanda) gönderilir.
• Hetzner Online GmbH (Almanya) — web sitemizin, statik dosyaların ve e-posta gönderim servisimizin barındırılması.

Premium abonelik satın alırsanız ödeme Google Play veya Apple App Store tarafından işlenir; kart bilgileriniz tarafımıza ulaşmaz ve saklanmaz.

6. Saklama Süresi

Verileriniz, siz silene veya hesabınızı silene kadar saklanır. Hesabınızı silmeden de uygulama içinden tüm kayıtlarınızı temizleyebilirsiniz.

7. KVKK Kapsamındaki Haklarınız

KVKK m.11 uyarınca; kişisel verilerinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, işlenmişse bilgi talep etme, işlenme amacını öğrenme, aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme, eksik/yanlış işlenmişse düzeltilmesini isteme, şartlar çerçevesinde silinmesini/yok edilmesini isteme ve işlenmesine itiraz etme haklarına sahipsiniz.

8. Otomatik Karar Verme

Hukuki veya benzeri ölçüde önemli sonuç doğuran otomatik karar verme ya da profilleme yapılmaz. Büyüme persentili yalnızca WHO referans eğrilerine göre bilgilendirme amaçlı bir hesaplamadır ve tıbbi tavsiye değildir.

9. Çocuk Verisi Hakkında

Uygulama ebeveyn ve bakıcıların (18+ yetişkinler) kullanımı için tasarlanmıştır; çocuklara yönelik değildir. Bebeğe ait veriler, veli/vasi sıfatıyla hareket eden hesap sahibi tarafından kendi rızasıyla girilir.

10. Bildirimler

Uygulama hatırlatmalar için bildirim izni isteyebilir. Bu tamamen isteğe bağlıdır ve cihaz ayarlarından her zaman geri alınabilir.

11. Değişiklikler

Bu metin güncellenebilir; önemli değişikliklerde uygulama içinden bilgilendirme yapılır. Güncel sürüm bu sayfada yayınlanır.

12. Dil

Bu metin İngilizce ve Türkçe olarak yayınlanmaktadır. Esas metin İngilizce sürümdür; iki sürüm arasında farklılık olması hâlinde İngilizce metin geçerlidir.
